Lone Schmidt, DMSc, PhD, MD is Professor wsr within public health and infertility at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), Denmark. During 30 years she has conducted reproductive health research with a focus on family formation, infertility and assisted reproduction, and prevention of infertility. She established in 2000 an international, cross-disciplinary research programme (The Copenhagen Multi-centre Psychosocial Infertility (COMPI) Research Programme); one of the leading research group internationally within this field. Her research includes both epidemiological and qualitative studies as well as interventions studies. LS has more than 160 publications and her research has great media attention both in Denmark and abroad. She has extensive research leadership and management experiences and is reviewer for multiple high-ranking journals within reproductive health.
